Ponytail Palm
Nolina recurvata;
beaucarnea recurvata

High light plant.

Not really a palm but related to the lily family. Also known as elephant’s foot or bottle palm.

Like a cactus it stores water in its bulbous base which resembles an elephant's foot--gray and finely wrinkled. The long slender grasslike leaves twist and turn as they reach the ground. (thus recurvata--to curve back).

These work well in offices because they stand out and they are quite indestructible.
